Bongo sensation Diamond Platinumz has hinted that he is planning to quit the music industry for his business empire. The celebrated artist revealed that he will soon quit music to concentrate on his businesses.
The crooner, who made a leap into limelight back in 2009 with his Kamwimbie hit, said that he is actively involved in music at the moment to accumulate enough capital to enable him comfortably run his businesses when he finally quits music.
H made the disclosure when he hosted a group of Muslim entertainment stakeholders at his Wasafi headquarters in Mbezi, Dar es Salaam.
“My dream is to eventually go fully into business when I quit music. You can’t do music forever, that’s why I’m using my earnings in music to build my businesses. Let’s use the opportunities we have in use to build a better future,” he said.
Diamond has business interests in Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB), a recording label already boasting of high performing artists including Harmonize, Rayvanny, Maromboso, Queen Darling, Rich Mavoko and Lava Lava.
He also runs Wasafi TV and Radio alongside Diamond Karanga peanut brand and Chibu perfume fragrance.
