1500 dollars a night.
And here I am giving out my sex for free. Bah!
A former IT worker who became a male escort after ‘work dried up’ during the global financial crisis has opened up about his new life.
Sydney-based escort, John Oh, ran his own businesses through the late 90s and 2000s, doing web design, data and software development, but when the global financial crisis hit he turned to sex work to help make ends meet.
‘I started sex work for the money, plain and simple,’ John, who charges AUD$350 an hour or AUD$1500 for an overnight booking, told Daily Mail Australia.
‘The GFC hit me quite hard so the escorting was a sideline to fill the gaps financially. Over the years it grew and grew and slowly displaced the IT work entirely.
‘I enjoy it more than anything that I have ever done. I have rarely worked a 9-5 job and always hated that, so sex work suits me very well in most regards.’
John, who has a partner who is ‘cool’ with what he does, said it was never a ‘decision’ to become a full-time escort, but it just happened that way.
‘As a self employed person I have always just done the work that came along,’ he said.
